Spaxate Injection is a high-potency parenteral antispasmodic and smooth muscle relaxant formulation containing Flavoxate Hydrochloride (or Hyoscine / Phloroglucinol antispasmodic derivative). Engineered for immediate systemic bioavailability via Intravenous (IV) or Intramuscular (IM) administration, Spaxate delivers rapid relief from severe acute smooth muscle spasms and spastic visceral pain. It is indicated for the acute management of severe renal colic, biliary colic, gastrointestinal spasms, painful ureteral or bladder spasms, dysmenorrhea, and post-operative or post-catheterization urinary tract spastic conditions.
\n \nRapid Visceral Pain Relief: Quickly alleviates intense spastic pain associated with smooth muscle contractions across the renal, biliary, and gastrointestinal tracts.
\nDirect Smooth Muscle Spasmolysis: Exerts direct anticholinergic or musculotropic relaxant effects to relieve spastic tone without disrupting normal organ motility.
\nEffective Inpatient & Emergency Solution: Ideal for acute emergency presentations, renal stone crises, and post-operative visceral pain management.
\nTargeted Urogenital Efficacy: Relieves severe dysuria, tenesmus, and bladder spasms following urological procedures or severe urinary tract infections.
\nFlexible Parenteral Routes: Formulated for slow Intravenous (IV) or deep Intramuscular (IM) administration for rapid clinical onset.
\nSpaxate Injection exerts its therapeutic action via direct musculotropic smooth muscle relaxation and anticholinergic receptor blockade. By selectively inhibiting smooth muscle contraction, it counteracts intracellular calcium accumulation and suppresses cyclic nucleotide breakdown within smooth muscle cells. This action leads to the relaxation of hyperactive visceral smooth muscle fibers in the ureters, urinary bladder, gastrointestinal tract, and biliary ducts, swiftly relieving painful cramps, colicky spasms, and local tissue ischemia.
\n \nAntispasmodic Agent (Parenteral Smooth Muscle Relaxant): Selective musculotropic/anticholinergic agent that relaxes visceral smooth muscle to eliminate spastic pain.
\nAdministration Routes: Suitable for slow Intravenous (IV) injection/infusion or deep Intramuscular (IM) injection.
\nIV Administration: Administer slowly over 3 to 5 minutes to prevent transient dizziness, flushing, or hypotension.
\nIM Administration: Inject deeply into a large muscle mass (gluteal region) under strict aseptic conditions.
\nProfessional Healthcare Use: Must be administered exclusively by qualified healthcare personnel in a clinic, emergency department, or inpatient hospital setting.
\nPrescription-Only Parenteral: Strictly for professional healthcare administration; do not self-administer.
\nObstructive Gastrointestinal/Urinary Conditions: Exercise extreme caution or avoid use in patients with mechanical GI obstruction (e.g., pyloric or duodenal obstruction), paralytic ileus, or prostatic hypertrophy with urinary retention.
\nGlaucoma Warning: Anticholinergic antispasmodic formulations are contraindicated in patients with untreated narrow-angle glaucoma.
\nCardiovascular Considerations: Monitor patients with tachyarrhythmias, severe coronary artery disease, or cardiac insufficiency during IV administration.
\nConsult an attending physician prior to use during pregnancy or lactation.
\nKeep out of reach of children.
\nStore the ampoules/vials in a cool, dry place below 30°C, protected from direct light and heat. Do not freeze. Retain in the original protective outer packaging until time of administration. Discard any unused portion immediately after opening.
\n \nFormulated and manufactured in strict compliance with international pharmaceutical quality standards, dedicated to providing advanced parenteral antispasmodic and critical care therapies that alleviate acute pain and support inpatient recovery.
