Feroject Injection is a specialized parenteral iron replacement therapy containing Iron Sucrose (50mg/ml). Formulated for intravenous administration, Feroject rapidly restores iron stores, elevates hemoglobin concentrations, and supports red blood cell production in patients with iron deficiency anemia. It is specifically indicated when oral iron supplements are ineffective, poorly tolerated, non-compliant, or clinically contraindicated—such as in patients with severe gastrointestinal intolerance, chronic kidney disease (CKD), inflammatory bowel disease, or post-operative blood loss.
\n \n \nRapid Iron Store Repletion: Direct intravenous delivery quickly replenishes depleted ferritin levels and speeds up hemoglobin synthesis.
\n \nBypasses Gastrointestinal System: Eliminates severe stomach upset, constipation, and poor mucosal absorption associated with oral iron therapy.
\n \nCrucial Support for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD): Ideal for managing anemia in patients undergoing hemodialysis or receiving erythropoietin-stimulating agents.
\n \nHigh Targeted Efficacy: Accelerates functional red blood cell production to relieve chronic fatigue, weakness, and dizziness.
\n \nParenteral Safety Profile: Lower risk of severe anaphylactoid reactions compared to older high-molecular-weight iron dextran formulations.
\nFeroject Injection (Iron Sucrose) consists of a polynuclear iron(III)-hydroxide core surrounded by a sucrose shell. Following intravenous infusion, the complex is selectively taken up by cells of the reticuloendothelial system (RES), primarily in the liver, spleen, and bone marrow. Within the RES, the iron sucrose complex dissociates into elemental iron and sucrose. The released elemental iron is then bound to endogenous transferrin for immediate transport to bone marrow for erythropoiesis or stored safely in ferritin and hemosiderin complexes for future hemoglobin synthesis.
\n \n \nIron Sucrose (50mg elemental Iron per ml): Parenteral iron replacement complex that replenishes systemic iron reserves and drives active hemoglobin production.
\nAdministration: For Slow Intravenous (IV) Injection or IV Drip Infusion only. Never administer via intramuscular or subcutaneous routes.
\n \nDilution for Infusion: Dilute strictly in sterile 0.9% Sodium Chloride (Normal Saline) solution prior to intravenous drip infusion.
\n \nClinical Dosing: Dosage is calculated individually based on the patient's total iron deficit using the Ganzoni equation:
\n \nProfessional Healthcare Use: Must be administered under the direct supervision of a healthcare professional in a clinic or hospital environment equipped to manage hypersensitivity reactions.
\n \nPrescription-Only Parenteral: For clinical, inpatient, or hospital administration only; strictly avoid self-administration.
\n \nHypersensitivity Alert: Monitor patients closely for signs of allergic reactions or anaphylaxis during and for at least 30 minutes following administration.
\n \nContraindications: Contraindicated in patients with iron overload syndromes (hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis), non-iron deficiency anemias (e.g., hemolytic anemia, vitamin B12 deficiency), or known hypersensitivity to iron sucrose complex.
\nAdministration Speed: Avoid rapid IV push; fast injection rates can trigger transient hypotension or flushing.
\n \nPregnancy & Lactation: Use during the second and third trimesters only when clinically necessary under strict medical supervision.
\n \nKeep out of reach of children.
\nStore in a cool, dry place below 30°C. Protect from light and extreme heat. Do not freeze. Use the prepared IV infusion solution immediately following dilution.
\n \nFormulated and manufactured in strict compliance with international pharmaceutical quality standards, dedicated to providing targeted hematology and parenteral care therapies that restore patient vitality and optimize clinical outcomes.
